Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President Kenji Nagata, hereinafter “TNSC”), a Japanese industrial gas company in Nippon Sanso Holdings Group, will exhibit at SEMICON Japan 2024 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 11 (Wed.) to 13 (Fri.), 2024. This is the first time in 13 years that we are exhibiting at SEMICON Japan, reflecting the recent trend of semiconductor manufacturing returning to Japan. At the booth, we will highlight our history of responding to various changes in semiconductor industry trends and social issues, as well as our specific initiatives for the semiconductor industry.

Semiconductor-related exhibits
　At the exhibition booth, we will present the Intelligent Gas Supplying System (IGSS) as a solution to improve productivity in semiconductor manufacturing plants. The IGSS is a solution that leverages our gas handling expertise and digital technology to address challenges such as heavy labor, hazardous work, and labor shortages at gas supply sites. The Cdrive, part of this system, is a device for the transport of specialty gas cylinders and general cylinders weighing up to 100 kg to the designated locations and for loading and unloading them. A demo unit of Cdrive will be exhibited at the booth. In addition, we will show the status of domestic production of rare gases, for which we have expanded production facilities. We will also display a cutaway model of a 72 L cylinder of high-purity acetylene, which has recently been in the spotlight in semiconductor manufacturing. This is the first such cylinder to be manufactured in Japan.

Newly-installed rare gas production facility

Carbon neutrality-related exhibits
　In the area of carbon neutrality, we will introduce our newly-developed CO₂ recovery system, which expands the applicable range of carbon dioxide (CO₂) concentrations in raw materials and enables recovery from a wide range of CO₂ emission sources. Furthermore, Blisters Burner H₂ is an waste gas abatement system that uses hydrogen gas (H₂) as fuel and emits no fuel-derived greenhouse gases. High-efficiency H₂ burners reduce energy consumption (heat input) by 30%-50% compared to conventional (fossil fuel) burners.
